Commercial glass / Project guidance
Office glass partitions
Glass partitions can define meeting rooms, offices and shared work areas while retaining visual connection. The useful starting point is the room layout and its intended use, followed by the glazing, doors and fixing details.

Define how the space should function
Consider sightlines, privacy and door movement alongside the overall dimensions. A fixed screen and an enclosed meeting room are different assemblies. Where sound separation is a priority, set that requirement out early: the performance of a room depends on the complete construction, including doors, joints and surrounding surfaces, rather than glass alone.
Coordinate with the existing interior
Floor and ceiling conditions influence where a partition can be supported. Changes may also interact with lighting, ventilation or other building systems. Share drawings and landlord requirements if available. The enquiry should establish what needs separate design input and what finishes will already be complete when measurements are taken.

Questions before
the next step.
Can a partition include a glass door?
A door can be considered as part of the proposed layout. Swing clearances, hardware, supports and the suitability of the opening need assessment.
Is frosted glass the same as acoustic glass?
No. A privacy finish changes visibility. Sound requirements need their own specification and review of the whole partition assembly.
