Custom mirrors

A custom mirror changes how a room uses light and space, but its practical details begin at the wall. Size, mounting and edge finish should be considered together before a piece is specified.

Plan the wall and the finished appearance

Describe whether the mirror will sit above a vanity, cover a larger wall area or fit inside an existing recess. Lighting, sockets and neighbouring trim may affect the layout. Edge treatments and joint positions can be discussed from a sketch, while final dimensions should follow the finished wall and any required clearances.

Consider support and delivery

The wall surface and mounting method need to suit the mirror and the intended setting. Moisture exposure and the products used behind the mirror also deserve consideration. A large mirror may be constrained by stairs, doorways or lifts; access should be reviewed before assuming that one continuous piece can reach the room.

Questions before
the next step.

Can a mirror be made with openings for fittings?

Can an old mirror be cut down and reused?
